Overview
We have an amazing opportunity for a creative, experienced Interior Designer to join their growing in-house Interior design team.
In this role you will be working with client’s personal ideas and requirements, you will also need to be creative and think outside the box.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design interior spaces, including architectural details and temporary elements.
- Client facing, designing and delivering your own projects with the support of a smaller team
- Produce sketches, drawings, and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using computer-aided design programs (CAD) and hand-drawing skills.
- Create idea boards to communicate design concepts to clients.
- Select design strategies and colour palettes to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environments.
- Enhance and improve interior spaces’ functionality by modifying architectural elements and arranging artwork, and décor.
- Create project budgets, including materials and labour.
- Establish project timelines and coordinate work activity, vendor involvement, and outside contractors as necessary.
- Perform research and maintain a working knowledge of trends and new developments in the interior design and architecture worlds.
- Work closely with various colleagues, including architects, artists, contractors, painters, and the sales team.
Skills & Experience
- Strong creativity, artistic ability and imagination
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to visualise concepts and explain them to others.
- Good drawing and IT skills.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new design techniques.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, and Twin Motion.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketch-up
- Experience working with planning consultants and local Authorities is advantageous but not essential
